Antonio Rojano (Córdoba 1982) began writing for the theater at the age of twenty-two. He studied Journalism at the University of Seville. He is the author of more than fifteen plays, including La ciudad oscura, which premiered at the Centro Dramático Nacional in 2015; the play was a finalist for the Premio Nacional de Literatura Dramática in 2016. In 2016, he received the prestigious Lope de Vega Theater Award for the play Furiosa Scandinavia. The play was produced and premiered in 2017 at the Teatro Español. It was ranked by critics among the ten best shows of the year, and received five nominations at the twenty-first edition of the Premios MAX. He is the author of the script for Deadlight, a video game for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation, and Steam (PC). The video game, a commercial success, was nominated for the 2013 BAFTA Award by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. He currently combines creative writing with teaching. As a professor, he has conducted courses and workshops on dramaturgy at the Centro Dramático Nacional, Fundación SGAE, Escuela Municipal de Arte Dramático de Madrid, Escuela de Teatro Nave 73, ESADCYL, and Teatro del Barrio. He is one of the screenwriters for the TV series “Dieci Capodanni”.
